Flowers 1

Our bank of predominantly wild flowers is to encourage nature in the heart of Old Town Swindon.  Sown in 2013 and scythed every Autumn, it produces wonderful displays.

21 plant specie recorded to date: Aquilegia, Autumn Hawkbit, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Common Cat's Ear, Cowslip, Dandelion, Devilsbit Scabious, Forget-Me-Nots, Grape Hyacinths, Icelandic poppy, Lady's Bedstraw, Meadow Buttercup, Musk Mallow,  Ox-eye daisy, Primrose, Ribwort Plantain, Self-Heal, Tulips (ok, not entirely wild - we planted a few of these to encourage some early Spring colour), Wild Carrot, Yarrow, and Yellow Rattle.

If you spot any more, please let us know. As with the self-sown Aquilegia, nature does lend us a hand.
